Shooting at Ft. Lauderdale Airport Leaves 5 Dead, 8 Injured

On January 6th 2017 On January 6, 2017, a lone gunman intentionally discharged a firearm at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) baggage-claim area, shooting at other travelers until he ran out of ammunition killing five and wounding six innocent bystanders. Approximately 90 minutes after the initial incident, speculation of additional firearms discharged in other areas within FLL caused panic and led to a chaotic self-evacuation of persons throughout the airport.
Despite all security measures in place some incidents seem to continue to happen; at a lower rate of course but yet still happen. This is a tale-tell sign of exploiting vulnerabilities on safety procedures and vulnerability assessments should be implemented as part of the strategic plan model. A good ethical governance is also imperative to keep in practice as well, this will help to make safety strategies to remain productive and not otherwise.
